I'm too ghetto to buy a new phone so this is the mess I have to deal with. So my disaster of a phone finally very slowly and painfully died. It started with a short in the charger which got worse and worse but I finally figured out how put it in the exact right position to get it to charge every night. Then the battery shorted out and I had to remedy that with duck tape on the inside then a rubber band around the outside. THEN on our bike ride Kaila fell alseep in the trailer and a bottled water leaked out all over my phone shorting out the screen AND I STILL USED IT FOR 2 DAYS using speed dial or blindly spelling out the person's name on my contact list. Until I forgot to plug it in last night and the battery died so I can tell when it's just in the exact right spot to charge.
So I finally switched to another of the many old hand me down cricket phones I've gotten from family members so I can go through all this again in a few months (for the 4th or 5th time in last year) All this because I'd rather buy a new laptop (which I'm saving up to buy because my laptop also died this month) and I'm still paying off my totally awesome new camera because my old one only worked when it felt like it, and parts of it were taped together to make it work and Ivan still questioned whether or not we needed a new one. Frugal just doesn't quite describe us does it?
Oh the joys of the never ending cycle of spending.
Anyway, if I haven't had your current phone # for more than 4 months chances are I don't have it anymore, therefore you should text/email/message/call me with it or you won't be hearing from me anytime soon.

gotta love cheap. i will be facing the same saving for a laptop soon, the batterie is completely dead and i can only use it when it's plugged in. so it's kind of like a really small desktop. good luck, with the new phone, let me know if you need my number :)
I went through almost the same kind of things with phones! My last phone the screen stopped working because Allyson slobbered all over it, and the phone I have now i have to do the same thing every night when i go to charge it because it won't charge unless it's in the perfect position. Such a pain! We're holding off on a new phone cause we hate T-Mobile and we're going to switch to another provider when our contract ends in December. I hope it lasts that long! (Mine is a hand me down phone too.)
