This is an absolute must read!!! It is definitely going in my Favorites category. It's the story of a modern day superhero. This is the beautifully depicted true story of a mountain climber who by fate stumbles into an isolated rural village in Pakistan. He is so moved by the hospitality of the village people who live so simply and take so little for granted that it changes the course of his life and the lives of thousands of others as he goes on to fight for children's education in Pakistan and Afghanistan. As 9/11 changes many things in Pakistan/Afganistan his work becomes even more important and relevant to us as a nation. The true enemy in the war on terror is ignorance.

I found a book today called "A LONG WAY GONE: MEMOIRS OF A BOY SOLDIER" ever heard of it? It reminded me of you, and seemed like a good read.
