hair

I was sick of having boring hair so went a little blonde and got it shagged up. It's kind of a funny story, I've been getting my hair cut at Dallas Roberts academy since Marin (who is still the best stylist in the whole world and it's hard to survive without her!) went to school there. I keep going back in spite of the fact that occasionally it gets pretty scary, because I want to support the students, but mostly because it's CHEAP!

Well I suspected I was in trouble the minute my stylest walked up with a scarf pinned on her head covering her hair (if they your stylist doesn't do her own hair you know your in trouble) She was cute and awkward and giggly and kept saying "oh I'm probably the worst at that" whenever I would suggest something.

Fortunately the coloring is supervised and probably not to easy to mess up, but next was the cut.
Well to be honest I started to pray to God "Please let this not be a disaser. I don't mean to be vain but walking around with a bad haircut is very unpleasant, I would know, I've been coming here for a while now."

Well, my prayers were answered when the stylist had her supervisor come check her progress after a few minutes and the supervisor ended up doing the entire cut. The whole time the stylist kept saying "wow, that's awsome, I'll have to practice that on my dummy" Thank you God for the supervisor, sincerely.

And the good news is, I ran into a student I know and can noe request her for subsequent visits. Yay for cheap haircuts that don't suck!!!!!

Pivotal moment

I must be getting pregnanter! Today was officially the first time someone commented on my pregnancy from observation, in other words I never told him I was pregnant. I must be getting past the looking-fat stage and moving into the looking-pregnant stage, yay!

To commemorate the event, here's a cheesy video I made with my web cam in Ivan's dad's office to show off the belly.
*I'm having upload problems so I'll have to add it later ):

blanket

This is a blanket I made for my friend's baby. It's the first one I've made so far, I'm pretty proud of myself even though the lettering looks like it written by a 5-year-old. Oh well, it's part of the hand made charm right?

Hey look I took a shower...

I felt bad after posting that craptacular picture that you would worry that I had lost all sense of hygiene with pregnancy so I slapped on some make up and took one more, hah!

Getting Fat

UPDATES!

So I've had a lot of requests for belly pictures. I some how manage to look like a total slob whenever in front of the camera, so yea, my apologies.

We're having our ultra-sound april 13, yay!!

My favorite boys name lately is Rocco. No girl names have really stuck.

I crave soy beans, spinach and sugar.

I sewed a baby blanket for my friend and it was even cute! (I'll post pictures after I give it to her)

I'm not sure if I've felt it move or just gas. There's always something going on in there. Lately I feel like my ribs and hips are going to break from the pressure, like I'm running out of room in there!

I can fit into my low rise jeans but they're not comfortable for very long.

My sacrum kills after sitting for too long!! Church is the worst for that.

I think I've been nicer to Ivan the past few weeks, less mood swings.

Welp, that was far more information than you wanted to know about being pregnant, hah!

Happy Birthday Stef!!!!

The gorgeous Stef, my sis-in-law turned the big 16 yesterday. We celebrated at Macaroni Grill where I ate my weight in bread and oil/vinegar. I don't even want to think about how many calories that was, I couldn't even eat my amazingly delicious lemon basil pene with grilled chicken.

Stef is on the lacross team at her school and even has a cute little uniform to prove it. I'll definitely have to catch her in action at a game before the season ends.

Happy birthday Stef, we love you!!!

My adorable seedlings!

So completely I'm obsessed with growing things lately. I don't know if it makes me feel better that I seem to be capable of keeping a living thing alive, or maybe the miracle of life is getting to me lately. Either way I LOVE my baby seedlings! They're so cute!

We started them off in peet pellets and they are growing quite well.

They grow so fast!

It's so cute how they reach towards the sun when you leave them in the window.

It's going to be warm enough to transplant them outside soon! I can's want to eat fresh tomatoes and basil and raspberries and melons!

it's been a while...

Yea, I know I've been terrible at blogging lately. I have been feeling pretty crummy and sleeping a LOT. Plus still no internet at the apt.
But I'm up for it now so here's some updates;

Pregnancy is a total emotional roller coaster. Everything makes me cry, COMERCIALS make me cry. The only movie that hasn't made me cry was Marley and Me and that's because dogs are gross.

I have to eat constantly or I get sick and it's a total pain.

Somedays I feel HUGE and other days I feel like my baby bump has disappeared completely.

I hadn't thrown up much until today, I think I'm getting the flu that's going around because I couldn't hold anything down today.

I totally have pregnancy acne (ew)

Here are some of the names we've discussed. The only one we both like is Gavin.
My favorite names for a long time have been Ciaro (ky for short) for a boy and India for a girl.
I also like;

Oliver
Miles
Oscar
Max

Quin
Avery
Koren
Khari
Kori
Olivia

Ivan likes Cambria or Evie for a girl or Indiana (as in Jones) for a boy also;
Elias
Ethan
Eli
Ian

Naming is hard!

Don't mind my disgusting hair in this pic

Happy Birthday Wendee!!

My "little" sister Wendee, who is taller than me, has been married longer and been a mother much longer is 25, yay! I'm terrible at remembering to wish her happy birthday since it is the day after my anniversary. Hey look I'm getting better! Happy Birthday Wendee, hope it's a good one!
