Homemade Organic Baby Food

I have been making and freezing organic baby food. It's pretty simple, I buy a big bag of organic fruits or vegggies,
Then I steam or boil them until soft,
run them through this awesome baby sized mill Janel gave me,

and put them into ice trays to freeze before transferring them into labeled ziplock bags.
Max loves spinach and applesauce, he likes bananas, avocados and cereal and he's not a huge fan of carrots yet.

Now I just have to figure out how to feed him without having to give him a full bath by the time we're done!

Mmmmm, finger lickin good!

We did this too and it was NICE! The only down side is Gavin only ate baby food for a little over a month before he cut 8 teeth in one month...who needed baby food after that?! :) Also such a good idea for food storage to have the grinder too! He is such a cutie! I can't believe he is 6 months already!

Our neighbors do this - but they just throw anything in there. Whatever they are eating for dinner, they just take a little and stick it in the grinder.

That's awesome Max! I love spinach, applesauce, bananas(!!), avocados, and cereal too! And I HATE carrots! Actually if I eat carrots, the smell and texture of them will make me through up. Just ask my Dad, after awhile he finally stopped making me eat them.

... I think we have the same taste bud genes ^-^
