Well, I read the first chapter and I have to say that it is NOT sparking my interest. Bella is annoying as EVER! I swear if she doesn't stop complaining...(comon Stfanie, create a little character depth) I am all to reminded that these books are written for teenagers because the writing is simple and petty. I'm sorry to disappoint all you twilight fans but I think I've fallen off the wagon. Maybe I'll pick it up and give it one last try next week when I'm finished with The Alchemist.

i have to agree with you. i read the first twilight series book and was pretty non-plussed. if i wanted a soap opera, i'd watch all my children. i would like to read the alchemist though.
It wasn't the page turner I thought the other books were, but I still found it enjoyable. I wouldn't give up so soon. I got the Alchemist at my husband's Christmas work party last year, I haven't read it yet (along with probably 20 other books sitting on our shelf). I'll definetely be looking for your review to see if it's worth reading.
amen.
the only thing intriquing about these books to me, is I grew up near Forks, Washington. Stephenie did great at defining the culture of that area of the U.S.
