So I went to this amazing cooking class Friday night at Harmon's Culinary Education Center.
It was a vegetarian cooking class taught by Chef Bob. He taught us how to make;
falafel with amazing tahini dressing, (soooooooo good)
tofu lettuce wraps with red plum sauce (to die for)
veggie pot pie (I burnt my tongue on it, but it was yummy)
3 tomato soup, (actually quite good)
and vegan brownies with tofu ice cream (not bad, very healthy)

The classes are taught in this big beautiful kitchen with a long cooking bench lined with students, at the front of the room Chef Bob would demonstrate the dishes at his cooking station which could be viewed from 2 big TVs.
It was a lot of fun, I was so involved and enamored with the delicious food that I forgot to take pictures of it. I wish I had.
I learned a few cooking tips like how to peel garlic by shaking it between 2 bowls, adding a fresh ripe pear to mashed potatoes to used in pot pie, and the best was to pee
This was so fun and educa- tional, it was very casual, I definitely recom- mend it for a fun date night or ladies night!
Also, I know I've been a little obsessive about grocery stores lately, but have you been to this one?! It's the Harmon's just off the Bangeter Hwy exit and it's HUGE, shiny and pretty and new. It has a beautiful lounge\dining area with a fireplace and fresh flowers all over it. This in one posh grocery store! They have tons of specialty items too like cheeses and produce and, for example a collection off coarse sea salts. I bought some Brittany Grey Sea Salt and used it on some fish fillets I cooked yesterday,mmmmmm, they turned out so good!
