So last minute I ditched the paint and decided to do American Idol. It was a blast!! We got our picture taken and video taken so much for the news. You can catch a picture and video at http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,5143,700246382,00.html If you watch the video you can kinda see me in the background at 3:09 dancing behind my friends and at 3:18 try and guess which butt is mine.
I ended up singing Extraordinary Machine by Fiona Apple, which apparently didn't impress the judge, but maybe I'll make a special video of a private performance for you so that you can judge for yourself.
I didn't bring my camera so as soon as I get pictures from Aubree post a bunch.

American Idol Auditions
Yes it's true that American Idol Auditions are coming to our very own Salt Lake City this year, and of course Aubrey is trying to get me to audition with her (probably because it will make her look that much better!) Anyway, I'm trying to pick a song, either the one that will sound the least crappy or the one that will be the most memorable, I haven't decided which. These are the 6 songs so far.
Business of Misery - Paramore
Independance Day -Ani Difranco
Somedays -Regina Spektor
Halleluja -in the stlye of Regina Spektor
Napoleon - Ani Difranco (pay attention to the lovely irony in the lyrics, but warning***there are explicit lyrics in this one)
Poor Little Rich Boy - Regina Spektor (I like this one because I could tap out the percussion, but if I get to the end I'll have to figure out what to do about all the naughty words at the end ** I recommend you stop the song near the end once she says "you're so !#$* young" because she just keeps saying it till the song is over, also I was at this exact concert BTW and it was AMAZING!)
Feel free to make suggestions if you feel I am overlooking a song that you think I should sing. Also, let me know if you want to hear me do a specific one or 2 and I will try and upload a video of me singing it.
Also feel free to advise me against humiliating my self in front of multiple, possibly dozens of people not to mention on film that will eventually end up in a dumpster somewhere.

Faux Finnish
Possibly due to lack of enthusiasm towards my American Idol post(not really) besides effort on Ana's part (thanks Ana, I'll do a private show for you sometime)it turns out I probably won't be going to the American Idol Auditions, sorry to disappoint anyone who was counting on my potential talent and fame. I will, however, be going to a week long professional faux finish workshop so let me know if you'll be wanting to acquire my services in the future and I'll cut you a deal (; And if you're in park city next week (M-F) come hang!

My Audition Song

Okay, so here is an approximate reenactment of my american idol audition. Keep in mind that this isn't my best performance, I just took a quick take so that I'd have something to upload to show you which song I sang. This isn't what I wore either, I was wearing the green top with grey leggings as pictured above.

They love me, they really love me!
Haha, rememer a few months back when I went to that American Idol audition? Well a friend was looking at the AI gallery and found some pictures of me. To see them click here! Then find photo numbers 6, 7, 277 & 300. I tried to copy and post them for your convenience without success so you'll just have to go there to see for yourself.
